The Team

Each member of the team is talented in varying aspects of the technical, theatrical, conference,
and event industries and crucial to the daily running of the company.
All staff are multi skilled and talented working long hours to ensure each event is just what
the client wanted and ensuring your event goes off without a hitch.
Continual training of technical crew and event managers allows Stageworks Australia to provide all clients with the very best people to work on conferences and events in Queensland.
All full time Technical crew carry intermediate riggers tickets, are work place health and safety savvy and attend regular workshops and seminars on new equipment on the market, troubleshooting on the job, client expectations and company image, share experiences and work for the betterment of both themselves and Stageworks Australia as a company.
Stageworks Australia also has an extensive technical department with technicians skilled in
all aspects of the industry. Stageworks Australia is the largest employer
of AV technicians in North Queensland.

Peter Hassall - Creative Director
As the Creative Director for Stageworks Australia, Peter creates innovative and unique theme concepts and works with event staff to ignite the imaginations of even our most discerning clientele. With a career spanning over 25 years in the theatrical, event, conference and technical industries, Peter doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon.
As the owner of Stageworks Australia, Peter's passion still lies in creative design, direction and producing shows for the conference and incentive market. Peter is an active and respected voice in the Cairns community, and is well known throughout Australia as a leader in his field.

Dior Yarwood - Operations Manager
Dior has over 16 years experience in the industry from freelance sound engineer, sales, theatrical productions and tour management. Specialising in technical direction, event production and audio, Dior has managed large conferences in North Queensland working with recognised companies in the industry from around the world. Dior now manages the operations department and over sees the daily running of the company from an operational perspective. He brings an analytical and resourceful approach to this position and has been instrumental in initiating, developing and maintaining company procedures, establishing new Stageworks Australia offices and demands the very best from his technical crew.

Mark Jennings - Event Sales Manager
Previously the Production Manager at the Cairns Convention Centre, Mark joined the Stageworks Australia team in 2001 in the capacity of Event Sales Manager. Mark brings with him 20 years of experience in the entertainment and conference industries. Having worked with numerous companies in the UK & Asia freelancing as a sound and lighting technician and stage manager, Mark studied Japanese before returning to Australia in April 1996, when he took up the position of Technical Manager at the Cairns Convention Centre. In 2000, Mark left the centre to set up his own business providing event management services locally. He joins the team at Stageworks Australia in 2001 as the Event Sales Manager.

Graham Barrie - Event Manager
Graham has been with the Stageworks Australia team for the last five years, starting as a Senior Technician. He now brings to the team extensive experience in the Technical design and management of conferences and events. Graham is responsible for managing the CAD drawing department, producing floor plans and room layouts for each event in consultation with Event Managers. With his attention to detail, passion for perfection and calm demure, Graham is specifically requested by many clients for large events and will ensure your next conference will run hassle free.

Paul Whitby - Technical Production Manager / Lighting Designer
Paul's
industry knowledge is vast with over 15 years experience. Initially working
in theatre as a lighting designer and stage manager, Paul has toured extensively
overseas with several companies as technical director and lighting designer.
His creativity and attention to detail ensures Paul is constantly in demand
and frequently asked by clients to technically manage their event. Paul
is famous for saying there is no such phrase as "that's impossible". His
dedication to the success of the event is second to none!

Jason
Pellizzaro - Senior Event Technician
Not
only a talented technician in data and audio, Jason is also gifted at
set and prop design and construction for our themes, conferences and special
events and a special part of the Stageworks team. Completing a carpentry
and mechanical course in his younger days, Jason comes from a theatrical
background as a technician, works hard with sincerity and responsibility
with 7 years industry experience.
