The Repco Auto Repair National 2 day Sales conference was held at the Cairns Convention Centre with 400 delegates. The theme for the conference was "Australia Proud". The conference stage consisted of a custom designed 'Aussie' stage, corrugated iron panels, windmills and other 'Australiana' prop items.

Stageworks Australia was chosen to supply the audiovisual component and design the gala dinner, which was also held at the Convention Centre.

Managed by Destination Events Management out of Melbourne, the Repco conference saw over 400 delegates conference in Cairns for 4 days during October. The gala dinner was designed as an opulent theme, complete with candelabras, phantom masks, theatrical velvet drapes and grand piano. A pianist performed classical pieces from the musical production on top of a small stage riser in the centre of the dining area. Additional set pieces and drapes were used to create the Phantom's lair. With just a four hour turnaround from conference mode to dinner theme, Stageworks Australia thrived under the pressure to perform.
