When Ericcson stage an event, they don't mess about. Imagine conferencing on a pontoon in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef?

That's exactly what 136 of the top CEO's and directors of the Asia/Pacific arm of Ericsson did in a world's first. Like an army manoeuvre, a fleet of helicopters started transferring guests at dawn out to the reef. The Great Adventures pontoon was completely transformed and re-branded into a floating Ericsson conference venue. Guests remained on the pontoon until mid afternoon prior to transferring back to the Sheraton for dinner.

A beach party theme at the Sheraton Port Douglas and a large gala dinner in the middle of the rainforest proved an exciting time for the guests of Ericsson. The President for Ericsson South East Asia, Mr Ulf Mason commented on the unbelievable transformations that Stageworks could produce.

The conference, entitled "Rediscover Your Youth", was designed so that potential communication buyers could see, touch, hear and experiment with the latest technology from Ericsson, yet to be released onto the market. It really does go to show that nothing is impossible in this incredible destination. It will have these VIPs and all of us here talking for years to come.
